Pit Controllers
Only residents of the local Boddington township or immediate area and candidates residing within the Mandurah area will be considered for this role.
The Opportunities:
Working collaboratively with the onsite leadership team using advanced, real-time technology the Pit Controller will be experienced in all aspects of open mining pit operations with a focus on optimisation of safety, production and equipment to align with daily mine plans.
About You:
Pit Controllers are accountable for the safe and efficient coordination of mining activities in the pit. This work requires strong communication skills to positively interact and influence across teams. Ideally applicants will work with an improvement intent with the ability to transfer knowledge to assist with best practice across the business
The successful candidates will bring experience, as a preference, working in a similar role as a Pit/Mine Control Technician or have very strong Computer Skills to work with the Fleet Systems such as Hexagon Mine Operator Pro (FMS L1 Hexagon Certification).
Key Responsibilities:
- Shift accountability around production data analysis and reporting
- Ability to troubleshoot FMS software with discipline for accuracy to ensure data integrity along with co-ordination of correcting validation errors
- Shift prioritisation of ore feed to crusher in line with forecasted mine plan and reporting of downstream of production delays or safety concerns
- Advanced ability in numeracy and literacy skills with strong knowledge of Computer and Data Base Systems
- Monitor mine noise level compliance along with Short Interval Control (SIC) data availability to operational teams, as required
