South West Personnel are proud to partner with a global leader in the manufacture and maintenance of cable belt conveyor systems. Due to ongoing demand and business growth, our client has immediate opportunities for General Labourers to join their manufacturing team at the Harvey facility.

Work is undertaken within a clean, organised factory environment with minimal dust and noise. You will be well supported through a comprehensive induction and training program, provided with detailed work instructions and PPE, and become part of a hard-working, friendly and respectful team.

The Role

As a General Manufacturing Labourer, your duties will support the quality manufacture of conveyor belts and associated equipment used in critical overland conveyor operations within the mining industry.

Tasks may include:

  • Operating rubber extrusion machines to produce conveyor belts
  • Steel rod preparation, including machine cutting, bending and spray-painting
  • Belt press production, final QA checks and repair inspections
  • Grit blasting, painting, polyurethane moulding and hand trimming of steel rims and tyres
  • Final assembly of pulleys supporting conveyor belt systems
  • General industrial labouring including housekeeping, sweeping, high-pressure hosing and cleaning

Commitment to working a 38-hour rostered week

A safety-first mindset and understanding of industrial WHS requirements

Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team

Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen

Shift Details

Day Shift Only – 4 Day Week

Monday to Thursday -5:00am – 2:30pm

These positions are Drive-In Drive-Out (DIDO) and suited to candidates living within a safe commuting distance to Harvey.
